June 26 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
If you are interested in learning about advertising and sustainability, please sign up to join this event here https://app.onlinesurveys.jisc.ac.uk/s/lboro/sustainability
In this event Glykeria will shed light on how learnings from anthropology can be used in the advertising and other industries so that we will help each other while shifting into new more sustainable behaviours. If you have an interest in the advertising industry, you have another reason to join us, as Glykeria will share with us some best practices in sustainable ad production and examples of how data can help in this process and direction.
Glykeria Antonaki is the Purpose & Product Lead at MurphyCobb and Associates (MCA). MCA is the world’s only truly global advertising production consultancy business. Working in over 35 markets, with industry leading technology and a worldwide team of over 100 specialist consultants, we advise blue chip advertisers such as L’Oréal, Mondelēz, Heineken, Ikea, Kellogg’s, and Colgate Palmolive how to optimise the spend they make when creating a wide range of advertising and communications content – TV, posters and print, web and social, Ecommerce, celebrities, licensed music and events and activations, among others. Glykeria has over 10 years of experience in the advertising industry. Before transitioning to sustainability in advertising, Glykeria worked for MullenLowe Group advertising agency, she co-founded and launched SlotApp social network with over 25K users in Greece and Cyprus in 2016 and she launched one of MCA’s Tech products globally as the product manager in 2019 that is still alive and successful till now and used by big client names. Glykeria has a BSc in marketing and communications from AUEB and a MSc in digital anthropology from UCL with a thesis very much focused on environmental anthropology studies. Glykeria is passionate about climate action so she didn’t stop there. She also trained herself in Sustainable ad production, Carbon Accounting and Reporting and she came back from her maternity leave in 2023 with determination to combine her anthropologist background, product management and sustainability expertise to help MCA and MCA clients towards a smoother transition to net zero.
This event will be held in person and online.
