oin us for a day on heritage buses, with routes in the countryside around Loughborough (including an open-top bus if the weather permits). We’ll be catching a train to Quorn, where the bus rally is being held, and get a train on the branch line to Mountsorrel and catch a bus back to Quorn. We’ll then explore other bus routes from there, including rural bus routes and an open-top bus ride. We’ll be getting a heritage bus back to Loughborough around 5pm. 

We’ll have lunch at Quorn station. Feel free to bring a packed lunch or buy lunch from the cafe at the station. There may also be time to get an alcoholic drink from the bar at Quorn station or cross the road to the manor house pub if that would be of interest to the group. 

The buses are free to ride, so you’ll only need to purchase a single ticket to Mountsorrel, which we’ll get at the ticket office in Loughborough – these tickets should be inexpensive, around £10 and the buses are free to ride, although a small donation to support their upkeep would be appreciated!
