Join us on a lovely walk to Rothley, where we’ll catch a heritage steam train back to Loughborough. Along the route we’ll pass through fields and forests, past Swithland Reservoir and the Great Central Railway (GCR) with nice views of the heritage trains passing through beautiful countryside and we’ll walk through the lovely village of Quorn. 

The single train fare from Rothley back to Loughborough is £9, and once back in Loughborough we may stop at a pub if that would be of interest to people; we should be back in Loughborough by 5pm, as the hike shouldn’t be longer than 6 hours and we’ll stop for lunch along the way  – please bring lunch with you, and water to stay hydrated. Sturdy shoes to walk in are essential, hiking shoes are recommended but shoes you don’t mind getting muddy are fine too.
